From the very first touch, you’ll notice an irresistibly smooth, refined softness that seems to cling gently to the skin. Among the many towels crafted by WATANABE PILE, this is the one that made the By Emotion team whisper, “We’ve never felt anything like this before.”That elegant, delicate smoothness is the defining quality of Nameraka Bangalore Organic, and what truly sets it apart.

Made from rare extra-long staple organic cotton grown using organic farming methods in the fertile soils of India, this towel is designed to preserve the natural softness and flexibility of each individual fiber. From spinning to weaving, countless prototypes were tested, ultimately blending three carefully balanced yarns to achieve a texture that is both plush and densely woven.
With continued use and repeated washing, the cotton’s natural elasticity and fullness gradually increase, developing a cloud-like, gently springy feel. Even after many washes, the texture remains remarkably consistent—each time you pick it up, it feels just as comforting and luxurious. It’s no surprise this towel has become the staff’s most-reached-for favorite.

The moment it touches your face or hair, it quickly absorbs moisture with impressive efficiency. Thanks to its low linting, it’s also suitable for delicate uses, such as towels for babies or sensitive skin.
Sometimes, all it takes is a truly comfortable towel to make everyday life feel richer. This towel brings small moments of calm and indulgence—every time you touch it.

The Kinari option uses unbleached organic cotton, preserving the cotton’s natural hue. Small black specks visible on the surface are remnants of cotton leaves or stems—proof of natural fibers. These do not affect quality or safety, and are part of the unique character of organic cotton.
Imabari, Ehime Prefecture, is internationally recognized as Japan’s premier towel-making region. Founded in 1963, Watanabe Pile Weaving has spent over 60 years pursuing towels that have never existed before, guided by craftsmanship passed down through generations.
What truly distinguishes Watanabe Pile is its deep knowledge of cotton sourced from around the world. By carefully studying each cotton’s fiber characteristics and independently refining twisting and weaving techniques, they create towels with a richness and diversity impossible to achieve through mass production.

Unlike most manufacturers who rely on a single supplier, Watanabe Pile sources cotton from multiple trading partners, selecting the best fibers from each region. They even visit cotton farms and spinning mills in person, ensuring transparency and sustainability throughout the process. To them, handing the finished towel back to the people who grew the cotton is part of the craft itself—a philosophy that connects global cotton fields with Imabari’s artisanal skill.
The previous generation’s leader, Toshio Watanabe, was famously known as a “towel enthusiast,” returning from overseas trips with suitcases full of towels for study. Today, his passion lives on through his family and team, who continue to weave towels that truly move the hearts of those who use them.

This towel is woven on a rapier loom, a medium-speed loom that operates more slowly than the high-speed looms commonly used in Imabari. This gentle pace minimizes stress on delicate yarns, allowing the towel to be woven carefully over time, resulting in an even, full, and deeply textured finish.
Towel production involves more than ten separate processes, from yarn preparation to final finishing. In Imabari, many of these steps are carried out by specialized artisans, each contributing their expertise to the final product.

Above all, Watanabe Pile values one belief: a towel should reach its best condition only after you start using it.Because towels are everyday essentials, their comfort should grow alongside your daily life. With every wash and every use, this towel matures—proving that its true completion lies in the hands of the person who uses it.
