Venev 4\" Cerberus Dog Series Dual Side Diamonds are used for sharpening knives on KME and Work Sharp Precision Adjust guided knife sharpeners. Cerberus Dog Series supersedes the Dog series. At the first glance, Cerberus and Dog look the same. Cerberus belongs to the 2nd generation of Venev dual-sided diamonds that you may know by the Dragon series.
Cerberus Series is dual side diamond with two 2mm-thick diamond-bearing layers on the aluminum plate. The diamond-bearing plate contains evenly distributed diamond grains with resin bonding. Bonded diamonds provide better feedback and give the sharpening stone a much longer lifespan. The diamond layer thickness in Cerberus is twice more than in the Dog and Greater Dog series.
Diamond layers are attached to the base plate made of duralumin alloy. CNC-milled duralumin plate offers better capabilities such as durability and flatness.
Cerberus is the first Venev dual-sided series compatible with KME knife sharpeners without having to use an aftermarket stone holder. The dimensions of Cerberus diamonds are 100x16x10mm.
Cerberus Series is available in six grit combinations. All Venev diamonds use FEPA-F grit scale. The coarse grit range (F80 to F240) utilizes the wear-resistant legacy binder. The fine grit range (F400 to F1500) utilizes OCB (OSB) binder with no abrasive particles in the composition. OCB binder offers better scratch-free sharpening results. All combinations are available in 100% diamond concentration only.
Venev Diamonds are recommended to be used with water as a lubricant for the best feedback. The diamond does not absorb water. Splash water on the stone\'s surface. Dry usage is an acceptable practice, although it results in faster wearing and speeds up stone loading.
