DELICATE | PURE | ENLIGHTENING These are the words that come to mind when we indulge in this gorgeous tea. Though we call it Symphony No. 9 in our range, the true name for this exquisite tea in the East is Mo Li Long Zhu (aka Jasmine Pearls/ Buddha’s Tears).

This stunning tea is handmade in Fuding in Fujian Province, CHINA. Every single pearl is rolled into shape by hand by tea masters wearing little white gloves.

Unlike other versions of this tea available (where icky chemical flavouring is used to bring the Jasmine scent) our tea has been scented in the traditional (much healthier!) way through a long and meticulous production process. The tea is made by laying ridiculously fragrant fresh jasmine buds on top of the tea leaves where they impart their authentic essential oils and scent into the tea. The blooms are taken away each day and replaced with fresh flowers that are picked at their aromatic peak - this continues for a number of days as the absorbent tea leaves take on the incredible scent! The flowers are removed completely and the tea is rolled by hand and carefully dried for your brewing delight!

ORGANIC GREEN TEA (Camellia sinensis) - is known to boost the immune system - it is the polyphenols (potent plant antioxidants) that are the hero here!  Green tea is known to contain a higher number of polyphenols than other tea types. Thanks to these antioxidant properties, it is thought green tea could prevent certain forms of cancer. It is also said to enhance intellectual performance as it is high in iron, vitamins, catechins and has the high polyphenol content.

ORGANIC WHITE TEA (Camellia sinensis) - is the least processed type of tea made from the buds and/or very young leaves of the tea plant. It is bursting with powerful antioxidants and according to Chinese medicine, is known to counteract excessive heat in the body.

ORGANIC JASMINE - The fragrance of jasmine tea is known to improved mood. The aroma also has a calming effect on the autonomous nervous system, which controls breathing, heart rate and digestion.
