About St. Andrew Kim Taegon

St. Andrew Kim Taegon (1821-1846) was the first Korean-born Catholic priest and is one of the patron saints of Korea. Ordained in Shanghai in 1845, he was martyred at age 25 during intense Christian persecution in Korea. He is the patron saint of Korean Catholics and clergy. His feast day is celebrated on September 20th.
