Product Description
This cushion is made from traditional stencil-dyed washi paper.Despite its firm and durable structure, it offers a uniquely warm and soft texture. Over time, the surface develops a gentle sheen, acquiring a rich, leather-like character and charm with use.The cushion is treated with a water-repellent coating, making it resistant to stains and safe even if it gets wet. It\'s also a great option for homes with pets, as washi does not attract pet hair—an added bonus for those who struggle with shedding. The bold, eye-catching design makes this cushion a standout accent for your interior décor.
Please note:
This product is made to order, and delivery may take approximately one month.
Cushion size: Approx. 330mm × 370mm × 110mm Filling: 65% cotton, 35% polyester As each cushion is hand-dyed, slight variations in color may occur. The back side of the cushion is plain (solid color). Although the washi is treated for water resistance, the effect may diminish over time. The cover is not removable, so the inner filling cannot be replaced. For cleaning, gently wipe the surface with a cloth dampened with mild detergent. If the cushion becomes wet, do not leave it damp for an extended period. Wipe off moisture promptly and allow it to dry thoroughly.

Scene of washi papermaking
A stencil is used to apply paste onto the areas that will not be dyed.
After the paste is dried, the dyeing process begins.
The washi with applied paste is then dyed. Pigments are used as the coloring agent, and soy liquid (gojiru) is applied as a fixative to set the colors.
Finally, the washi is soaked in water to remove the paste. After that, it is dried and treated with a protective coating to prevent staining.
