HOT ! 19th Century Full Pile Persian Veramin Runner / 4’3 x 10’1 Rug #3105-A

Late 19th century Persian Veramin…full pile and full personality. This beauty comes from a weaving district known for tight and tidy work and this runner totally shows it. The field is packed with classic Veramin motifs…tiny abstract floral forms and repeating motifs like shapes that look like birds. All natural vegetable dyed wool with blues, brick reds and inky outlines create that signature rhythm you only get from old village weaving.

The durability is no joke. Veramins were made for real life… hard wearing wool, sturdy construction and a weight that means business. This is a heavy duty, high traffic friendly runner that still has its original wool pile…a rare treat for something with 120 plus years behind it.

There is a couple little reweaves in the field…2 small spots where a master weaver rewove missing pile and foundation by hand. It blends nicely and keeps the rug strong for another century of use. Nothing structural to worry about… just a sign that this piece was loved and preserved along the way.  

Amazing condition for its age…rich dyes, strong body and all the charm that comes with a late 1800s Veramin. A real old soul that is still ready to work.
