Woven in the quiet rhythm of Himalayan homes, the Mamta dress carries the stories of women reclaiming their ancestral craft. Mamta—a weaver, designer, and member of the Shastra Society—led this first-ever textile project alongside a circle of women from her mountain village. Together with the Saheli Women of Rajasthan, they brought to life nine handwoven fabrics, each one a thread of heritage, sisterhood, and new beginnings.

In this region, weaving has long been a women-led craft, practiced in the home and passed down from generations to generations.
