This set of six crystal tumblers were made by the famed Czech glassmakers, Moser. The set which are made from lead free crystal have been crafted in the \'Splendid\' pattern which was first introduced by Leo Moser in 1911. The pattern features an ornate 24 karat gilt band which sits atop of a very intricate cut crystal body and has been made in a variety of shapes and sizes throughout its history. The Splendid pattern has been a staple among some of the world\'s finest dining rooms for decades with the Czechoslovak president gifting the late Queen Elizabeth II a selection of Splendid crystal for her wedding in 1947. In this particular set the glasses retain their original retailing stickers and combined with the style of font used in the acid etched signatures we can date their manufacture to circa 1992, just before Czechoslovakia became the Czech Republic. The set are in near immaculate condition with no chips or cracks and just some very minor wear to the underside commensurate with age and use. It should be noted that one of the six glasses has not been acid etched with the Moser signature, however it has one of the original retailing stickers, so it is likely it was missed when the glasses were signed during production. A delightful set of glasses which could be a great addition to a home whisky bar.
